Whoa!  it's been a while since i've xanga'ed and it just took me 10 minutes to try to find out how to put in a new entry!  sad.

well, i thought i should write a little something, since i told cecilia i would.  so this is and update for you ceci!  (since i don't know who else reads xangas these days).

So i've been in mexico for 3 weeks now!!  it's been so absolutely fabulous... with the exception of the insects that are eating me alive.  arghhh!!  at first i only had bites on one side of my body, but this week they've been attacking the other side and my face too!  i do NOT appreciate it.

i'm at this college, uninter, in cuernavaca.  that means i'm somewhere in the middle of the country of mexico, trying to learn the suprising difficult language of spanish.  i think that in all my time here that i still haven't put a whole sentence together correctly.  it's kinda embarrassing.   Also, the nodding and smiling is not getting me as far as i would hope... and it's definitely not the best response when creepy guys are hitting on you unless you like them to follow you around for hours!  i definitely need to memorize how to say:  "get lost.  you creep me out."

so my school is absolutely fabulous.  i've never gone to a school with swimming pools all over it.  unfortunately they have now banned swimming in the pools, and instead have made them wierd make-shift fountains that only turn on when its break time.  it's so randomn!  classes are small and great tho, and if i would just concentrate a bit more, and actually do my homework, i might learn something.

umm... that's all i will type for now.  i need my fingers to scratch my bites!

Arghhh!  Sometimes i think my dad's sole goal in life is to make my life difficult.  So our refridgerator broke late last week, and everything melted and became a pile of mush.  He's a good man so decided to get a new fridge, and it arrived yesterday!  horray!  but he told us that the fridge was coming at 2, when the people had really told him 12:15 (and when they rang the doorbell he then told us, oh yeah they said 12, not 2).  so when the moving people came, my mom and i had to run about taking the stuff out of the old fridge, and cleaning up the area and all that jazz, while my dad sat eating lunch, cuz he had a meeting to go to).  but the fridge had some trouble fitting, so we had to remove our cabinet doors.  all to discover the fridge was still much to big for the spot.  turns out my dad, an architect, thought a 35 inch wide refridgerator could fit into a 32 inch space!!  ack, what was he thinking??!  so my mom decides we could do with 2 refridgerators, so we decided to put this gigantic fridge in the garage.  Aghh, that meant rearranging the stuff in the garage and breathing in like 20 years of piled junk for the whole day!  it was torturous.

Also, my siblings and i got an excercise bike for my dad for fathers day, and it's been sitting in the garage, so i told him i would move it into his room.  So i moved some of the furniture yesterday, only to find this morning that my dad was very proud that he helped me rearrange his furniture himself.  It turns out that he had moved all the furniture perfectly in my way so i would have to do even more work to fit in the bike.  Everything i had taken out of the room to assist my moving was right back in the room... everything except for the bike!!  I had told him exactly where i was going to put things and how i was going to position the furniture, and he agreed that it would be a good idea.  now why would he have put all his furniture back and in my way if he weren't trying to drive me crazy??

ridiculous!!  I NEED a break!  thank goodness i have work tomorrow, the perfect excape from home!

It's funny how life can pass by so quickly and one day you find that your knees and hips crack and hurt whenever you walk, you spend about 5 hrs a day sitting in a rocking chair with your yarn and crochet hook, can't get through a day without a nap, and haven't written a xanga entry since last year.  It's a tough reality that life's only suppose to go downhill from here.

Anyways, so that's pretty much all that's been what up with me...sitting at home, getting old and more boring each day and that's why i have not written in oh so very long.  sorry to all my fabulous fans that have missed me so!

So, I was in Chinatown yesterday with my mom to get some clothes altered.  As it was a crazy crowded time in chinatown, my mom had me go park the car in the parking lot as she ran to the bank, and told me to meet her on the street corner.   I thought this would be an easy enough task, but the lot was sooo full and i had to circle for like 15 minutes before finding a spot.  I was already thinking about how my mom was gonna kill me for taking so long, so i ran to the elevator, but remembered I needed to bring the clothes that were in the car trunk, so i ran back to get the 2 heavy bags, and dragged them to the elevator.  So i got to the elevator and didn't wait long before one came and got filled with people.  but the doors kept only closing half way, but nothing was in the way at all.  I kept pressing the open, then close button, but the doors still kept getting stuck half way.  luckly another guy gets onto the elevator and when he sees that the doors aren't closing, he gently pushes the doors together and the elevator goes.  I said to him: "wow, good job!"  he said: "thanks!" and he hopped off at the next stop.  but once he left, the doors wouldn't close again!!  I was on the elevator with at least 10 other adult people, but they all seemed to leave it up to me to try to fix the door as they just stared at me.  So i kept pressing the elevator buttons, and then tried what the other guy did with pushing the doors together, but they wouldn't budge!  so after a few minutes. i thought it was futile.  (oh those chinese people! i don't know why nobody wanted to help, i guess they just enjoy standing silently in the non-functioning elevator.)  So, i took my stuff and got off the elevator.  but the instant i walked out the doors of the elevator, they closed and it went to MY destination (only 1 floor up).  I could hear the people in the elevator kinda laugh at me, but thought: it's ok, i'll get another elevator.  So one came pretty quickly, and i could have sworn it was going up, but i stepped in and it was going down and all the floors were pressed.  So i stopped at the next floor down, and the same man that fixed the elevator the first time stepped on, and was suprised to see me, saying: "what?  still on the elevators?"  I told him how it got stuck again and i still haven't made it to the outside yet, and accidently got onto this elevator that's stopping on every floor in the wrong direction of where i want to go.  He laughed and got off.  So after a long elevator ride, i get to the outside where my mom is fuming and totally pissed at me for taking so long and not picking up my cell phone (which of course didn't have reception).  oh if she only knew how hard i tried to get there.  What luck.
